چکیده

The use of a boundary layer in sliding-mode control has been a common technique to reduce chattering of the control signal. However, different choices of the boundary layer width lead to conflicting effects: a large/small boundary layer width can more/less effectively alleviate the chattering phenomenon, but leads to less/more accurate control results. This note proposes online adjusting the width of the boundary layer based on the state norm for an uncertain linear system. The proposed state-dependent boundary layer design can effectively eliminate chattering while at the same time ensuring almost perfect control accuracy.

A New Fuzzy Sliding Mode Controller with Auto-Adjustable Saturation Boundary Layers Implemented on Vehicle Suspension

This study develops a fuzzy sliding mode controller (FSMC) based on a variable boundary layer. A fuzzy inference mechanism is used to on-line tune the thickness of the boundary layers of the controller. Minimum rule base has been used for the fuzzy inference system which results in low calculation effort. The aim of this paper is to design a controller which will eliminate the chattering of FSM...

Robust Sliding Mode Controller for Trajectory Tracking and Attitude Control of a Nonholonomic Spherical Mobile Robot

Based on dynamic modeling, robust trajectory tracking control of attitude and position of a spherical mobile robot is proposed. In this paper, the spherical robot is composed of a spherical shell and three independent rotors which act as the inner driver mechanism. Owing to rolling without slipping assumption, the robot is subjected to two nonholonomic constraints. The state space representatio...

Tracking Control of Uncertain Non - Iinear MIMO System Using Modified Sliding Surfaces for Attitude Large Maneuver of Satellites on Orbit

Designing a robust tracking control for a non-linear MIMO system with uncertainty is one of the most complicated control problems. In this paper, sliding mode changed to non-linear controllable canonical form by input-output linearization. This, sliding surfaces can be defined in a way that we can de-couple equations and indicate the sliding conditions of multi-variable controller system. The u...

Increase of Sliding Mode Controller Stability Limit

An important consideration in control issues is control of nonlinear systems. Sliding control is among those nonlinear controllers that can control the system desirably in the presence of unstructured uncertainties of carelessness in specifying parameters of the system. In sliding control, also called Variable Structure Control, the main objectives of the controller &#10are achieved by introduc...
